Font management has never been so simple, and font sorting, font shopping and font discovery are now more fun than ever. Doug Gilford’s Mad Cover Site

“A reference site for collectors and fans of Mad Magazine… I am sharing my images so collectors will have an easier time identifying which issues they need to complete their collections. Almost Before We Spoke, We Swore

“Cursing, they say, is a human universal. Every language, dialect or patois ever studied, living or dead, spoken by millions or by a small tribe, turns out to have its share of forbidden speech, some variant on comedian George Carlin’s famous list of the seven dirty words that are not supposed to be uttered on radio or television.”

Subvert from Within: A user-focused employee guide

“…let’s say you’re not a Ward Cunningham or any other famous, visible, already influential industry player. You’re an engineer, or maybe a program manager. In that case, you do what many of us did at Sun… subvert from within. Here’s my little unofficial guide to creating passionate users for those working in Big Companies. Most is from things a maverick (but cleverly disguised as compliant) group of us did at Sun, while we could.”

“Last month I wrote a post about the pitfalls of being a webdesigner During the writing I came with the idea about a guide for business owners. Obviously a 101 guide is not the logical thing so I settled on 11 things, uneven numbers have more cache also. My idea was for the 11 things guide to be short and to the point.”

Photo Gallery Templates available

“Since describing and pointing to my photo galleries back in January this year, I’ve received lots of positive feedback, requests for the templates, and questions asking when they’d be available. Since the galleries are a personal, non-paying hobby, they took a back seat to other more pressing projects. In my spare time for the past several months, I made lots of additions and tweaks to the gallery pages. Meanwhile, I also started generalizing the templates, keeping in mind that I might eventually make them publicly available some day. That day has finally come.”

No Mr. Ballmer, Microsoft Will Not Win the Web

“Reading through an article about Microsoft in Business Week, I was not shocked but oh so enraged by this bit from an interview with CEO Steve Ballmer: ‘We won the desktop. We won the server. We will win the Web. We will move fast, we will get there. We will win the Web.’”
