Beating the Photography Blues

“It happens to the best of us at one time or another. After days of careful research, the thrill of buying your dream camera, and that initial period of excitement using your new acquisition, there comes a time when you don’t even pick up your camera, never mind take a photo with it. This may be caused by other pressing commitments, such as family and work, or perhaps the novelty wears off, or maybe it’s simply because the weather is awful and you’d rather stay indoors and watch Eastenders. Whatever the reason, once you have recognised that you’re going through a lean spell, how do you get out of it and start being a photographer again?”

Sick Of Web Standards

“Iím sick of talking about Web standards. Really, Iím blue in the face. This is going to be my last post about Web standards (in specific anyway ó youíll get a pretty big dose in my Designing The Band posts) for some time. Iíll still be practicing Web standards development methods and Iíll probably refer to standards here and there, but Iím going to officially retire as a Web standards advocate. Itís not because I donít believe that Web standards are valuable. Of course they are. Itís just that I feel that Iíve done what I can and now itís time to let others do the talking.”
