Too many Web developers assume that interface design is nothing more than decorative ‘button-making.’ In reality, the term ‘interface design’ is fundamentally the humanization of the non-human — the creation of an easy way for people to seamlessly interact with complex objects or technology. Its roots lie deep in computer science, industrial design, cognitive psychology, ergonomics, audiovisual design, animation, and graphic design.”
