Colour Scheme

“Remember those ‘Painting By Numbers’ kits that you used to get as a child? The system where different colour shades and contrasts would be all mapped out numerically, and the finished work would look something like the Rembrandt original? Well, that’s exactly how our brain draws colour pictures too. Scientists in Australia have developed a mathematical model that explains how we interpret colour, and the equations could one day be used in bionic vision chips to correct colour blindness.”

Déjà vu: (re-)creating web history

“This site is devoted to the history of the web. Not only will we remind you by telling what the web was like. Our main attraction is a time machine that brings you back to any web era as defined by the browser version predominant at that time. For it is a browser emulator. If you are one of the early pioneers of the web, we believe that you will ‘feel again you’ as we say in Sweden. Get a colourful flashback (or déjà vu, as they say in France) of those happy days when the Net was all painted in Mosaic grey.”
