How can talent be attracted and retained?

VISUAL TOOLS CLEARLY DEPICT STEPS TO BECOMING MORE EFFECTIVE EMPLOYEES.

Talent and career development are key to driving exceptional service in the technology industry. XPLANE | Dachis Group created a succinct and compelling presentation for Principle One to convey the company’s career paths to employees.

Challenge Principle One is a major IT services and support provider for hedge funds and investment banks in Asia. Excellence in employee performance is part of the company’s strong commitment to outstanding service. In order to deliver on that promise, Principle One recognized the need to communicate its process for career and knowledge development in a clear and appealing way to potential and existing employees.

Action | Because of varying global locations, XPLANE and Principle One conducted a strategic information discovery session via telephone. XPLANE’s team sought to understand the opportunities at Principle One and what key information was most crucial for employees to grasp. XPLANE created an engaging PowerPoint presentation outlining the steps that employees take in their career path at Principle One. A process map was developed, clarifying the options available to move into future roles and develop maximum performance and potential. XPLANE created a professional “DNA” visual representing the managerial and technical aptitudes inherent in every worker. These aptitudes then directly correspond with Principle One’s career ladder, making it easy for employees to realize the most appropriate career paths within company. To enhance the impact of the communication pieces and make them more targeted for the client, XPLANE customized its traditional “Blockhead” style used on the presentation and process map to better resonate with Principle One’s Asian audience.

Results | The process map provided Principle One with an appealing way to attract and retain talent. The PowerPoint presentation delivers a smooth flowing version of Principle One’s Learning and Development Matrix which connects easily with employees and clearly conveys the company’s deep investment and planning into continued education.
